My Grandma Helen taught me to knit when I was eight years old. This was one of the many kind acts she did for me during her life, and I loved her dearly. So when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and told she had 6 months to live, it was a shock. But her response was classic Grandma Helen: “Oh Honey, I have WAY too much to do.”
She ended up living another 8 and 1/2 years!
This has become a guiding light for me. I decided that the key to living a long, healthy life would be to keep busy - so busy that, in fact, I may have unrealistic expectations as to how much I could accomplish.
Consequently I have almost 800 items in my Ravelry queue. The only negative side effect I can discern is that I suffer from S.A.B.L.E. (stash accumulation beyond life expectancy). I have every good intention to knit everything in my stash and in my queue. And hopefully, one day I’ll be able to say that I did.
In this blog, I want to share with you what patterns are currently capturing my eye. Since I have knitting ADD, I know I’ll have enough on my mind to share with you. Also, one of the perks of owning a yarn shop, I get my hands on a lot of amazing yarns. I would love to help you guys find your next pattern, and match those patterns with some great yarns.
